JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Citibank began replacing customers' debit cards several years ago with more secure chip-based cards. Many major banks have sought to stem the risk of data breaches in recent years. The agreement includes up to $425 million in monetary relief to consumers. Last week, Equifax agreed to pay at least $700 million to settle lawsuits over the breach in a settlement with federal authorities and states. In 2017, a data breach at Equifax, one of the major credit reporting companies, exposed the Social Security numbers and other sensitive information of roughly half of the U.S. company to suffer a major data breach in recent years. The bank said the bulk of the hacked data consisted of information supplied by consumers and small businesses who applied for credit cards between 2005 and early 2019. For seven years, every time it seemed like Before Your Eyes would never turn into much more than a fun, weird, experimental side project, a wave of interest and excitement for the concept would hit, spurring the group on. A publisher picked it up, then dropped out. Then it got into the Independent Games Festival. They worked on it on weekends between classes, jobs, and regular life, undergoing numerous iterations.Īt one point, Hellwarth decided he would take the game more seriously if it got into gaming showcase Indiecade. Naruto tells him if he is willing to die, he should live and help Naruto make all shinobi cooperate. Sasuke tells Naruto he can release the Infinite Tsukuyomi after he dies by transplanting his Rinnegan into someone else. As the sun rises, Sasuke admits defeat, and concludes that if he dies, the cycle of revenge will end with him. Sasuke laughs when Naruto expresses his wish to keep fighting him in their state. This time, Naruto and Sasuke wake up at dawn. Sasuke sees the memories of Naruto's struggles, and his exchanges with Itachi about what it means to be Hokage, and Sasuke realizes the importance of his friends. Those sentiments only grew once they were assigned to the same team, and started going in missions together. Sasuke thinks back to seeing Naruto seeking attention, how his attempts to bond reminded him of his own family, and how he also saw it as a weakness. Naruto explains that seeing Sasuke take on so much hurts him. Naruto points out again that he is his friend. Sasuke asks why Naruto tried maintaining his bond with Sasuke once he started cutting them. Sasuke wakes up at nighttime, Naruto telling him if they move too much, they will bleed out and die. Sasuke scoffs at his concern with the living, and points out Sakura and Kakashi are still there, and will figure something out. Naruto denies that conclusion, apologises to Tsunade for dying before becoming Hokage, and worries about not being there to release the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Sasuke recalls how they were both ostracised from the village, wondering if in that sense, they really were brothers. As they shift through several significant locations from their past, the two wonder if they are dead. They recall Naruto saying their next fight would result in their death, in the Land of Iron. Both think back to sparring with one another in the Academy, both refusing to perform the Seal of Reconciliation at the end. Thinking back to their previous battles, Sasuke tells Naruto to disappear along with their bond as their attacks connect, resulting in an explosion. In some cases, the footings can be reused and added to, or they may need to be torn out and rebuilt to suit the new deck requirements. If an existing deck is beyond repair or simply doesn’t suit the homeowner’s style, they’ll need to demolish it before building a new one. An existing deck in disrepair may also need to be removed first, which is an additional cost. Photo: Additional Costs and ConsiderationsĪfter discussing their customized deck requirements with a Lowe’s deck designer or other decking professional, a homeowner may want to add some additional features such as a roof, deck skirting, built-in kitchen, accessories, and more. The average labor cost to install a deck foundation is $25 to $300 per post. Raised decks require additional beams and footings for security, but small decks attached to the home may need only concrete blocks. Foundationĭecks that are expected to hold additional weight like a hot tub will require significant support structures with poured concrete footings. For instance, a wraparound deck will likely have a higher cost to build than a simple one-level deck on the back of the house. MaterialĬomplex designs that include multiple levels, elaborate railings, built-in benches or grills, or a deck built on a second story will increase the overall cost of a backyard deck. Composite decks cost between $4 and $12 per square foot for material, while brand-name Trex decking costs $5 to $10 per square foot and metal decking costs about $15 to $20 per square foot. If wood is the chosen material, homeowners will want to remember to also factor in the cost of staining the deck or the cost of painting the deck. Pressure-treated wood costs between $15 and $25 per square foot. There are three common choices of materials: wood, composite, and plastic. The average cost of decking material ranges from $2 to $45 per square foot. Google removed the sharing functionality built into Reader in October 2011, and replaced it with a Google+ +1 button. Users criticized this change because there was no way to opt out. In December 2007, Google changed the sharing policy so that items the user marked as shared were automatically visible to their Google Talk contacts. Previously this was done by sending a link through e-mail, directing the user to the shared article or by creating a basic webpage that includes all shared items from a user's account. Items could also be organized with labels, as well as being able to create "Starred Items" for easy access.įrom 2007 to 2011, items in Google Reader could be shared with other Web users. One could then order that list by date or relevance. New posts from those feeds were then shown on the left-hand side of the screen. Users could subscribe to feeds using either Google Reader's search function, or by entering in the exact URL of the RSS or Atom feed. search in all feeds, across all updates from subscriptions.import and export subscription lists as an OPML file.choice between list view or expanded view for item viewing (showing either just the story title or including a description, respectively).automatic marking of items as read as they scrolled past (expanded view only).a front page that let one see new items at a glance. Some of the features of Google Reader in 2013 were: Led by Google designer Jenna Bilotta, the interface now included a cleaner visual style, collapsible navigation, "Friends" navigation, the ability to hide unread counts, and feed bundles. In late 2008, Google Reader had a significant upgrade to its user experience and design. Reader's interface evolved several times from an early version, described by a Google designer who helped work on the revision as a "river" of news, to various experiences optimized for a wide range of devices, from browsers to the Wii video game console. In 2022, Techdirt called the discontinuation of Google Reader "one of the defining moments in the shift from a more distributed, independent web to one that is controlled by a few large companies." Features Interface Įnthusiasts re-created a work-alike replacement called " The Old Reader." Instapaper developer Marco Arment speculated that the real reason for the closure was to try to keep everyone reading and sharing information using the now defunct Google+, and that it signaled the end of the era of unrestricted and interoperable web services like RSS from large organizations like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. Several petitions were started to keep Google Reader running, including one on with over 100,000 signatures. In response to the planned closure, Digg also announced plans to build a Google Reader replacement, rebuilding its API and adding features to take advantage of the implicit recommendations of social network activity. They gave users a sunset period until July 1, 2013, to move their data and suggested: "If you want to retain your Reader data, including subscriptions, you can do so through Google Takeout." Īfter the closure announcement, Feedly said that more than 500,000 new users had joined them in the following 48 hours, and 3 million in the following two weeks. On March 13, 2013, Google announced they were discontinuing Google Reader, stating the product had a loyal but declining following, and they wanted to focus on fewer products. In September 2007 product marketing manager Kevin Systrom (later, founder of Instagram) announced that Google Reader had graduated out of Google Labs. In January 2007 Google added video content from YouTube and Google Video to Reader. This also marked the addition of a sharing feature, which allowed readers to publish interesting items for others to see. In September 2006 Google announced a redesign for Reader that included new features such as unread counts, the ability to "mark all as read", a new folder-based navigation, and an expanded view so users could quickly scan over several items at once. After working at Google he began a similar project with a small team that launched an improved product on October 7, 2005, as Google Reader. In early 2001, software engineer Chris Wetherell began a project he called "JavaCollect" that served as a news portal based on web feeds. Google closed Google Reader on July 1, 2013, citing declining use. Google Reader grew in popularity to support a number of programs which used it as a platform for serving news and information to users. It was created in early 2005 by Google engineer Chris Wetherell and launched on October 7, 2005, through Google Labs. Google Reader was an RSS/Atom feed aggregator operated by Google. Interface in Google Reader's final version Whenever the price is "wrong" their thoughts will tell you and you can adjust. Start charging whatever for whatever, and be sure to check the guests' thoughts to see what they think about it. I don't think there is any particular "best" way to do it. The Third Party rents the Space from the Park and charges whatever they want. Said third party may have a patent or something so the only way the Park gets the Ride is if they get the Third Party and let them run it. I don't think there's any particular reason for which ride charges, except possibly the ride is being run by a third party. You pay to get in (AND you pay to park!) then most of the rides are free. Originally posted by unca.alby:You can certainly do both, and I've seen Real Life parks do both. So basically, park entry is my favorite because I feel it's much more involved on the management side. But I guess its more like going to a movie theater, watching a movie (all the way through), and demanding a refund because you didn't like the movie. After all, the guests still have a nice size park with plenty of other free rides. In the beginning, I thought Park Entry Fees would be a way to circumvent guests getting refunds for broken down rides. Everything is fine until Copperhead Strike breaks down and the hundreds of guests that were queing in line for upwards of 30mins decide they want a refund. Guest flow fluctuates (randomly?) but more often than not, the park turns a pretty healthy profit. Next they head to the ATM to replenish their wallets so they can buy overpriced Priority passes, Food, Drinks, and Balloons. The Cheap-Os are turned away but the True Thrillseekers empty their pockets and pay the premium. All rides and coasters are free, park entrance is $80 for adults $40 for children, and there is an ATM directly next to the park entrance. I have a sandbox park that I use for building, testing, and creating scenery for rides. and Pay for entry is certainly the most difficult, but in my personal opinion, makes the game more challenging and fun. If this game follows real life examples, i prefer the free entrance method. The pavillians were free also, you just needed to reserve them with the park. If i had to pay a very high price at gate, i probably would not of gone to the park when i was younger or had parties in their picnic pavillians. I believe in real life the free entrance is better, because then i can choose which rides i want to go on. NOTE: I have not been in my hometown in a long time, so im not even sure if that amusement park is there, but last time i checked the website for it, it was still there. The real life amusement park located in my home town was free entrance, you could bring outside food to even picnic there, but you needed to buy tickets for every ride, or a thing you put on your wrist you pay a lump sum for. (Dont quote me on that though, cause I've never been there) Personally I wish it was more like the Theme Parks here in the US where you pay to get inside and the rides are free, but from what I read they took more of a Euro/Carnival approach by having free entrance and charging per ride. When you have free park entry more people come, the more people that come, the more sales you will generate from stores, and rides cause there are more people using them. However from what i remember Pay for ride is better. Originally posted by LuciusSuperbus:I havnt played in a long while, only just reinstalled. |
